Design

This design is rather similar to other family HTC Touch. However, for the shape, HTC Touch Cruise is more thick, that is 58mm. If you are used to operate with the touch of a finger, it’s a function of stylus pen can be removed only. Except for htc touch cruise typing sms or email, because the size of virtual keyboard is too small to be touched by your fingers.

The keypad is not visible in the front, because everything can be displayed on the touch screen. Only the navigation wheel look jagged, and some shortcut buttons other. So minimalist look. If adopted the full-screen touch, keypad term seems less appropriate. Instead is a virtual keyboard or touch keypad. So no more keypad shaped buttons in general, only a flat screen that can be touched to operate the various functions. newsgadgetnew

BlackBerry Storm 2 Confirmed

by van ardianto | 11:45 AM in | comments (0)

Guess rumor has made the leap to fact with word from a BlackBerry spokesperson in Netherlands, Alain Segon de Banchet, who has confirmed the existence of this device. What you see here is not the real thing, but is a mockup of the BlackBerry QWERTY slider that was initially described in the RIM patent application over a year ago. The BlackBerry Storm 2 will be available in the market later this year or early the next, and will not feature carrier exclusivity in Netherlands. In addition, it will weed out the weaknesses of the original Storm in terms of typing - could we be looking at the possibility of a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a full touchscreen display? newsgadget

This mini spy video camera disguised as a watch has a rechargeable Li-ion battery, microphone and 8GB of built-in storage that can be used as a flash drive. It also shoots AVI video at 352x288 (15 FPS) resolution - the lens is hidden right between the "1" and "2" on the watch face. (Can also be used to tell time *yawn*)

Remember way back when when consoles came in black or gray? Then amazingly consoles with color appeared, and all was good. We love the Nintendo DSi with its nifty dual cameras and coming DSi Facebook integration. We are curious though why Nintendo has only released two colors here in the US, black and blue when so many other colors and even special edition versions are available in Japan? Normally we wouldn't complain about the cool toys the Japanese get that we never do (like these PSP accessories the US will never see) but in this case we feel like complaining a little. Play-Asia has all the special edition DSi handhelds you could ever want to import but beware, they are region locked which means you're stuck playing Japanese games only. Boo.

R2-KT was originally created by the R2 Builders Club in honor of Katie Johnson, who passed away in 2005 at the age of seven from brain cancer. Katie's sister Allie was inspired by watching "Attack of the Clones" and wished that R2-D2 could watch over her sister while undergoing treatment, the same way that R2 watched over Padmé. As fate would have it Katie's father is the founder of the 501st Legion, a Star Wars cosplay group that performs charity work.

Unless you were asleep all day you're probably aware of the big announcements from Apple at the WWDC 2009. While Steve Jobs was noticeably not present the new iPhone 3GS was announced, as well as a $99 iPhone 3G and a new 13" MacBook.

So what's the big deal about the iPhone 3G S? "Improved performance," better battery life, a better 3MP camera with video capability, voice control, and a compass. Wait...a compass?

You're looking for the best GPS money can buy, so long as that money isn't going to break the bank. We've always been pleased with the Garmin nüvi line, especially the widescreen models with built-in Bluetooth and FM. The Garmin nuvi 760 has a 4.3" touch screen color backlit display, Bluetooth for hands-free calling and traffic broadcasts via "silent" FM data channel for intelligent routing based on traffic conditions.

So aside from the super easy to use intuitive interface and excellent performance in the Garmin nuvi line, what do we like best about this particular GPS? Once priced for $399 the nuvi 760 is currently on sale on Amazon for $199 - which is what we paid for a measley nuvi 250W only a year ago!

(Thanks Tim!)

Pachinko with water? That's what the Nano-Tech Japanese Aqua Dance Game accomplishes with hyper-beading "Adesso WR" technology using a nano-tech agent invented and patented by Nikka Kagaku Co., Ltd. of Japan. On a game-scale we're happy, on a water park scale where you zoom down slides with giant balls of water chasing you we're even happier. Maybe one day, until then...

I scored one of the only copies of Windows 7 Touch Pack out in the wild, and it really blew my mind, bringing the full power of Microsoft Surface to touch-enabled Win 7 PCs. Have a look:

In my first go-around with Win 7 touch, I didn't feel so much ooh-aah as I felt relief, relief that Microsoft had actually baked intelligent touch controls directly into the new operating system. Once again, my touch experience is with the optically driven HP TouchSmart PC, this time running Windows 7 Release Candidate build 7100. Nothing you see is third-party, except for the beta TouchSmart multitouch drivers by NextWindows.

Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7 is a roundup of six demo apps directly from the Surface team that make it clear that the days of the big-ass table are numbered. Surface will finally go anywhere there's a multitouch PC running Windows 7. [Microsoft]

Good news and bad news for the Middle Kingdom: China Unicom will likely be selling an iPhone sooner than expected, but it will be one that does not have Wi-Fi functionality.

The Chinese government, which controls the nation's three major cellular carriers, said in the past that it objected to Wi-Fi in phones (perhaps because it's harder to sniff local packets than ones drifting through a wide-area network). According to reports, China Unicom has a deal to sell a GSM-based iPhone, like the ones sold elsewhere, but the license is for something where Wi-Fi is blocked. As TradingMarkets.com puts it: "Apple has to cancel the Wi-Fi function without changing other components."

The good news is, China has been waiting for the damn iPhone forever, and to get it in time for the Spring Festival next January is like amazing. I just wonder how adept the Chinese jailbreakers will be at reactivating that Wi-Fi. [BusinessWeek and TradingMarkets.com via AllThingsD]

This iPod dock concept seems pretty feasible, if not incredibly practical in its current form: You can stack as many of the pods as you want underneath the dock itself, allowing for multiple speakers, lights, or (oddly) air purifiers. We like the idea of being able to add attachments to an iPod dock, since they're usually incredibly boring, but this concept could be so much cooler and/or wackier. Air purifiers are pretty gimmicky, but not too interesting—how about adding a photo printer? Or a Blu-Ray deck? Or an aquarium? The list goes on and on. What would you guys like to see as an add-on to a dock? [Yanko Design]
